What an innovative concept.Chef Lapo, graciously opens up his home and cooks scrumptious meals for you. Prepared before your eyes along with the help of Chef Edward Lloyd and there assistant Asanda.
We had the pleasure of attending the December edition of Lapo’s Kitchen, the menu read like a dream.
Traditional Chicken liver pate with a Bearnaise style sauce ( Mama’s recipe and award winning )
Hand made ravioli filled with Pumpkin and Ricotta with Butter Sage and Amaretto sauce
Gentle roasted Karoo lamb ( leg ) with a Spinach flan , and balsamic braised Onions
White chocolate ice cream and seasonal fresh berries marmelade ( made in house )
Once you have the privileged of meeting Lapo and chatting to him,it become’s very apparent that he is not only passionate about what he cooks,but where his ingredients comes from. He sources the best ingredients but also ensure that its grown or reared ethically.

WED 20TH JAN – ARTISAN BEER PAIRING
This one is for the craft Beers lovers, Lily Patrick is small brewery in Stellenbosh that produces fine beers ranging four different ones that will be paired with a fresh and seasonal inspired menu created for the evening.
FRI 22ND JANUARY – CELEBRATING THE KAROO LAMB
Karoo lamb stands in the hearts of many South Africans as a symbol of excellent meat, ethically produced and coming from home. Chef Lapo love’s everything that has this wonderful lamb in it so let’s celebrate an evening with company of friends who are passionate about Karoo lamb, Kyle Noyes who will give us few interesting facts about the produce, while we will be dining on a specially created menu focusing on the lamb.
FRI 29TH JANUARY – MEXICAN INSPIRED WITH HOMEMADE TEQUILA
Lapo’s Kitchen will be hosting a “Mexico meets “South Africa” dinner where local tequila maker Sarah Kennan will be offering her home (south Africa ) made Mezcal/Tequila LA LEONA – (lioness) made from 100% agave grown in the Karoo.
Sarah will be telling us the story behind La Leona, while will be dining on Mexican inspired menu with a little surprise to unravel a bit before the dinner.
The R250 are to cover the cost of food and making sure everyone has a good time, the beverages offered are courtesy of the artisans, they will be able to tell you where you can buy their product.
Vegan? Vegeterian? Flexeterian ? Pesciterian ? If you have any dietary requirements, good news They can cater for you!
As the busy season is upon us they will be filling up quickly, however if you have a group of 12 up to 20 people they can arrange a dinner for any other day whenever Lapo’s Kitchen is available :).
