They change up the special daily but you can be sure to experience nothing but the best.

Not wanting to miss out we had the Winter Special Menu on the night of the 20th, but also ordered an additional 5 Tapas,just to be sure :.

One of the few things about Winter I do like is the change of Menus and also the specials I mean come on guys who doesn’t like a special 😉 .

One of the V&A Waterfronts most lavish restaurants also came to the party with their Winter special.

R180 – two course

Your First course choices are:

Springbok carpaccio served with a Balsamic reduction dressing and Gaufrette Potato

Duck liver pâté served with an Apple Chutney and Bruschetta

Spiced fried baby Calamari served with crispy Vegetables and a spicy Peanut dressing

Tomato Tarte Tatin served with a mixed milk Feta and Balsamic reduction

Roasted sautéed Vegetable salad Served with Cherry Tomatoes and roasted Nuts

Arancini Mozzarella Truffle aioli

Mini sushi platter Four-piece seared Tuna sashimi and four-piece Salmon roses

Roasted Tomato and Basil soup Served with toasted Bread wafers

I have been dying to get my hands on this box and finally it’s here. Gourmet dishes cooked for my family by me and I didn’t even have to visit one single store. If you know me personally, you would know that,that is a huge plus 🙂

Your box is delivered on a Monday, every dish is separately packed, each dish’s ingredients and recipe card ready for you.

There are a few ingredients you will have to get from your pantry namely :

Salt,

Pepper,

Butter,

Cooking Oil and

Olive Oil.

All the food used is organic, ethical and locally sourced, so you can be sure of all the yummy goodness.

The meat is sourced from  Ryan Boon Speciality Butchers in Paarl.

Herbs are sourced from a family run business called Herb Traders.

Vegetables come from an amazing farming initiative called Abalimi Harvest and Hope.

They offer 3 menu choices:

Low Carb,

Rustic and

Vegetarian.

There are 9 delicious dishes for you to choose from.

You decide which dishes you want to cook for your family, the menus are also available so you can easily see what you would need from your pantry.

All meals take 30-45 minutes to prepare and the instructions are super easy to follow

This week I choose the Low Carb Menu:

Breakfast for Dinner – with Sweet Potato, Bacon, Sage and Kale

Tandoori Eland Rump – with a warm Middle Eastern inspired salad

Sticky Asian Chicken – with crunchy winter salad

Breakfast for Dinner – with Sweet Potato, Bacon, Sage and Kale

Really quick and easy to make. The crispy Sage was a welcomed contrast to the softened Sweet Potato.

Tandoori Eland Rump – with a warm Middle Eastern inspired salad

The game flavour of the Eland complimented the warm Middle Eastern salad . The Salas was really good, something different from the normal boring salad.

Sticky Asian Chicken – with crunchy winter salad

My favourite dish from this box, I will definitely make this over and over and over again. The peanuts made a world of difference to the salad.The marinade was simple amazing and versatile, one I will remember to stock up on.
