The Solo Box by Daily Dish

If you like me and don’t have any time to spare, but still want to ensure your family eat exciting and most importantly healthy meals daily, then Daily Dish is the answer to all our prayers.

So you place your order by the Wednesday and you get your amazing box during the course of the day the next Monday.

You will receive all your ingredients as well as the easy to follow recipe cards. I simply love the recipe cards as its perfect for filing and saving for next time when you want to make the dish and believe me there will be a next time.

THE SOLO BOX

Four delicious dishes, with all ingredients, easy to follow recipe will be delivered to your door.

In no time you no longer have to settle for solo TV dinners, but you will be able to enjoy really good dishes, cooked by yourself and just imagine the repertoire you will be building up.

So in an endeavour to prove that I do actually try out all this awesomeness that comes my way, here are the dishes I attempted, I have included the ingredients as well as a pic of what it should look like and my dish just to give you an idea that it is indeed achievable 😉

Chicken Pesto Pasta

Ingredients

  • penne
  • free range chicken breast – cut into strips
  • green beans – trim ends and slice in half
  • spring onion – slice finely
  • fresh basil pesto
  • cream
  • parmesan cheese – grate finely
  • olive oil, salt & pepper (from your pantry)

 


Vietnamese Pork Sausage & Salad Rolls

Ingredients

  • par-baked sub roll
  • pork sausages
  • sweet chilli sauce
  • fish sauce
  • lime juice
  • salad leaves
  • carrot – grate coarsely
  • cucumber – cut off ends & dice (5mm)
  • fresh coriander – chop coarsely
  • butter (from your pantry)


Spinach & Bacon Pilaf

  • Homestyle bacon – cut into strips
  • button mushrooms – slice finely
  • spinach – slice
  • lemon
  • garlic – crush, peel and chop finely
  • butter (from your pantry)
  • basmati rice
  • onion – peel and chop finely
  • vegetable stock granules
  • boiling water
  • ground cumin
  • cloves
  • cinnamon stick
  • chilli powder
  • salt & pepper (from your pantry)


Steak with Garlic Chive Butter

  • sirloin steak
  • butter, room temperature (from your pantry)
  • fresh chives – chop
  • red onion – peel and chop finely
  • garlic – crush, peel and chop finely
  • baby potatoes
  • Dijon mustard
  • red wine vinegar
  • olive oil (for the potato salad – from your pantry)
  • fresh parsley – chop coarsely
  • fresh basil – chop coarsely
  • spring onion – cut off end and slice finely
  • olive oil, salt and pepper (from your pantry)
